Lots of Friends related bricks coming down the pipe. Some of this has been circulating for a bit but I just came across it so might be new to some of you.
Series 4 animal polybags looks just ducky. Here you have a tiger, and going by the graphic there looks to be a penguin and a purple turtle, because purple.
If the animals were not enough for you then how about that curved half arch that previously was in white, now in this nice lavendar. Add a new plant part (!!) and a very interesting decorative piece which is going to be flooding sets in 2014. It’s just in this gold from what I can see so far but you know this will be ice cream or whatever too. Could make for crazy robot eyes or something.
I have the Series 3 fawn and green parrot, very sweet. I love Lego animals.
New Friends sets for 2014 look super. They are geared for kids’ allowances, not too expensive and you get a lot of fun for your dollar. These images link to bigified new windows.
Yay little lamb! Great bucket and fun blue parts.
So to all you early Dolphin adopters from the 41015 Dolphin Cruiser, well at least you can make a nice big pod and that set has a dolphin in a unique colour. Other notable parts: gold binoculars, green briefcase, trans light blue cheese, red bucket w/gold handle, gold star, and lavender slopes and tiles. Great set!
I think this set will be a bit more expensive but well worth it still. The mint scooter is the draw but the nice parts pay for the price of admission. These are new cookie parts which we’ll see below as well. New type of coin, shiny round tile!
Of freaky big news is Disney Princess in the Friends scale of figs. I was going on about this earlier this year in January: https://luprechaun.wordpress.com/2013/01/25/friends-disney-princesses/ so really glad this has come to fruition! The images I’ve seen are watermarked with ‘Classified’ so won’t be posting them directly here. However… there is some text descriptions ( via brickfan via eurobricks )

Here’s a pic of her for sale on ebay!
edit: moar
The Merida set looks wonderful. Merida herself looks to have this hair in red:
She has a gold bow, very cool, and her 3 brothers as little bears which are unique molds. This is not an expensive set and see it being very popular.
The prices I think reflect USD, add 20% ( and tears ) for CAD. A few observations I have about the sets so far.
Ariel looks to have this hair, red with no prints:
Flounder is a unique fish yet but they squidged with Sebastian and just used a red crab, however this could still be pre-production and they might make him an actual element. There are the new gold swirly elements discussed above, a bunch of food, Eric, and lots of printed parts. Not terribly useful outside of it’s context. Ariel will come with tail in one set and with legs in another!
Cinderella has a couple of sets, her carriage and castle. The carriage is stuffed with what looks to be azure blue rounded slopes, very nice. It has the Friends style horse, and what looks to be the Minifigures Genie’s turban ornament for a horse head decoration. You could do worse than this one! The castle is huge and sprawling, fully decorated on the inside. It has some nice light blue castle elements but this one is not for the casual, you have to be pretty into your Disney Princesses to pony up for it.
On the other hand…. Rapunzel, or best Princess, has a lovely tower, complete with Finn and… a molded Pascal! The interior is fully detailed with a lot of nice, neutral parts that can be used outside this set, including a lot of dark blue roof parts.

If you are curious about the images then fraid you’ll have to do the footwork but here’s the path. They are on this site: http://www.tamayk.com/ but you might not find them directly on there. Instead use google and search:
Lego <set description> tamayk
and you should find gold in them there hills.
*phew!* The 3 year old I live with is going out of her gourd about these sets and I’m pretty happy with what I see too.
What’s your Disney Princess wishlist? Mulan? Jasmine? What sort of extras? Mushu? I’m hoping for HERCULES…. I mean Meg, right this is about the princess right.
Also, yes changed the background again. Today is the date that the closure of LU was announced, so the Maelstrom is back in our hearts and minds for a bit.
