Our local Lug has been busy the past month getting ready for this year’s Christmas tree put on by a local hotel, the Empress, called the Festival of Trees. It’s a charity event for BC Children’s Hospital and local businesses decorate a tree and the whole thing fundraises for such a good cause.
We worked with a company called Atrium who has a big Lego fan in it and now this is our second year, the first just testing the waters. I’m so happy with the results, the club really came together with a whole mess of new creations in 3x scale, which I mentioned in a previous post: https://luprechaun.wordpress.com/2013/11/11/triplo-blocks/
I’ll post later about my specific contributions, but you can see the Classic Space Rocket Sled, a basic helicopter, the snowman’s nose, and a mess of Triplo bricks are what I brought to the party, as well as helping out with the big car and sheep. Rod, another S6’er, made the snowman body, it’s pretty epic! He also did the star on top, the large house and dumptruck which are from the classic set 545 Conveyor Station
