I don’t know these guys personally but think what they are doing is pretty interesting. Of course it reminds me of Kelvins’ work, who I found to be a gentleman and a scholar. I find these kinds of projects just fascinating and it shows the investment that some of the fans still have in LU. I wish them the best of luck in their endeavour, regardless of the surrounding morality and legality of what it all entails. It’s a special kind of curiousity and craftsmanship that drives these sorts of things and one thing TLC should take from this, and other similar projects, is that the player community is capable of more than what was offered in the property and behaviour set of tools. What if a Happy Flower type of building tools could be unlocked if a player hit the Hall of Fame or otherwise proved themselves to be an accomplished creator?
Hey ya’ll, this is Aronwk here. Zipblock wanted me to post some about my work with the Legend Team. My job on the Legend Team is to assembly worlds from in Unity 3D, then pass them on to Rioforce for him to polish them up and add textures to the models. So far the only world I have been working on is Nexus Tower, but I am going to start on compiling different worlds soon.
The way I get these 3D models into Unity is by opening them up with NifSkope and then going to the file tab in the program, next i export the file as an .obj file. After that i import the .obj file into Unity as an asset. Finally, I just arrange the 3D models in the correct position.
This may sound really easy, but it’s not. Getting all of the models to line up corectly is a nightmare, especially with all of the enclosed spaces in Nexus Tower. I still haven’t gotten everything lined up.
Here are some photos of my work on Nexus Tower:
That is all I have for now, I will post some more after I work on a new world some.
